Hello there mamas, I hope you’re doing well and catching up with your baby’s tales and tricks, sleep routine, habits, food, and whatnot. When I became a new mom, I literally did not know the importance of a baby sleep routine, when and how to start. Gradually with time, I learned it, and for the most of it, I’m still learning.
Here I’m sharing my every learning and tips of my motherhood journey with you beautiful moms out there. The journey started when my daughter Sofia was born; it was all filled up with mixed feelings and emotions and still is.
I remember I used to keep on laughing when she tried to roll over the bed, go all aww when she used to come to me with that cute face, and get exhausted while trying different baby sleep routine . First, take all the baby sleep routine advice with a grain of salt and an open mind. Regardless of my personal feelings, we should always remember that even though we think that we’re right and know the best, that’s not always true.
When we’re pregnant, we believe that we would sleep train the baby, including me, and we’d all be sleeping through the night, but that’s not the case.
- You need to teach powerful ways to help the baby figure out when it’s night time as he/she will be confused about day and night.
- It’s super important to dress the baby according to the climate and keep the right temperature for the baby to sleep well.
- Understanding optimal wake-time lengths change the way you tackle life with your baby; he/she will sleep more comfortable and better.
I think you should read and take this to heart! You can practice with time. Apart from these, the most important trick you can follow to avoid the baby’s sleep problem is creating a bedtime routine for the baby. The goal is not to create a cookie-cutter baby routine, but the one that suits your family and keeps you, baby, happy, well-fed, and content.

Nobody knows everything about baby sleep routine, everyone has different opinions, and all the babies will learn to sleep eventually. But at the moment, the situation you are undergoing and the baby, the perfect sleep routine, is what comes to the rescue!

Even the lucky ones, whose babies are naturally good sleepers, wonder whether their baby will sleep through the night. Tracy’s the author of “Secrets of the Baby Whisperer”. The book suggests the best features of many different sleep training philosophies. You can practice methods that encourage listening, patience, and routine to help your baby develop into a healthy all-night sleeper.
For planning a routine, each activity’s length (such as eating, playing, and sleeping) will vary depending on the baby’s needs. Observe the time that the baby tends to rise for the day naturally. It will be the starting point of the routine. The routine can be flexible by varying the time limit for some of the elements throughout the day, but you must perform the order consistently from day today.

It’s okay if baby sleep is driving you crazy. That’s Normal and natural, and no one enjoys spending an hour before bed fighting with a crying, fussy baby trying to get him/her to sleep and relax. But as Pinky McKay referred, “We need to remember we are raising babies and not managing inconveniences.” Slowly and steadily, you will manage and settle with the changes.
